Zhong Yin Trade Remedy Team Secured Zero Tariff for Client in Vietnam’s Anti-Dumping Investigation on BOPP from China
On May 29, 2025, Mexico’s Ministry of Economy issued an official announcement regarding the final ruling in the anti-dumping investigation concerning Chinese PET (polyethylene terephthalate). Representing Wankai New Materials Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Wankai New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Jia Zheng, Director of International Business Department and Senior Partner of Zhong Yin Law Firm, served as lead counsel, with lawyers Chen Yao and Zhao Ruixuan as co-counsels. Their efforts secured the sole zero tariff for these clients in the final ruling, while the tariff rate for other exporting enterprises ranges from USD 40 to 260 per ton. This case marks the first instance where Chinese enterprises have secured zero tariff in an anti-dumping investigation launched by Mexico against China, signifying profound importance.

On December 10, 2024, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued a notice on its final decision concerning the anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review against the stainless steel sinks from China. In the case, Mr. Jia Zheng, Senior Partner and Director in the International Trade and Maritime Practice Group of Zhong Yin Law Firm, represented the Rhine Sinkware Manufacturing Ltd to respond to the investigation and assisted the client in obtaining the best result of zero tariff in the final judgment (the duty rate was -11.8%, which was considered zero tariff and the lowest among the respondent enterprises). Previously, on May 6, 2024, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission launched an anti-dumping and anti-subsidy sunset review on the stainless steel sinks originating from China.
