Zhong Yin Trade Remedy Team Secures Nationwide Lowest Duty Rate for Client in Malaysia’s Mid-Term Review of Anti-Dumping Investigation on Steel Strand from China

On February 4, 2025, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) of Malaysia announced its final determination in the mid-term review of the anti-dumping investigation concerning steel strand imports from China. Jia Zheng, Director of Zhong Yin’s International Trade and Maritime and Senior Partner, acted as lead counsel, assisted by Chen Yao and Zhao Ruixuan, in representing Tianjin Dalu Steel Strand For Prestressed Co., Ltd. The team successfully secured a final duty rate of 3.12% for the client—the lowest nationwide rate—compared to rates of 9.07% to 21.72% imposed on other Chinese exporters. The review was initiated by MITI on August 8, 2024.
