On July 14, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) of Vietnam announced its final determination in the sunset review of the anti-dumping investigation concerning BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) from China. Jia Zheng, Director of Zhong Yin’s International Business Department and Senior Partner, acted as lead counsel, assisted by Chen Yao and Zhao Ruixuan, in representing Suqian Gettel Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. The team successfully secured for the client zero tariff, the only one in all Vietnamese anti-dumping investigations against Chinese enterprises in recent years, which is of great significance. In addition, the Vietnamese authority waives the imposition of anti-dumping duties on BOPP from China. The sunset review on BOPP from China, Thailand and Malaysia was initiated by MOIT on July 23, 2024.
