On March 24, 2020, Shanghai Youyang New Media Information Technology Co., Ltd., represented by the team led by Hu Cuiqin, a senior partner of ZhongYin Law Firm, won the first-instance trial of administrative proceedings regarding review decision on trademark rejection against the State Intellectual Property Office filed with Beijing Intellectual Property Court.
Shanghai Youyang New Media Information Technology Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Baidu, and owns many trademarks related to Du Xiaoman Financial (formerly known as Baidu Financial). However, many trademark registration applications recently filed by the company have been rejected by the State Intellectual Property Office, while these trademarks are closely related to the company's businesses and vital to the company. After the team took the entrustment from the client, several attorneys led by Zhao Chao conducted in-depth research on and made careful preparation for the case, and finally helped the client win the first-instance trial before the Beijing Intellectual Property Court and achieve the goal of registration of the trademarks in its core financial services and other itmes.
Hu Cuiqin's team focuses on intellectual property cases and currently has more than ten practicing attorneys, who have rich practical experience and have won many cases in the fields of trademark, patent, copyright and unfair competition, and whose successful cases have been selected as typical intellectual property cases for many times. In this case, Hu Cuiqin's team, as always, by professional practice of law, provided high-quality legal services as needed by the client, and won the recognition of the client.
