“2019 Annual Conference of China’s Asset Securitization & Structured Finance and the 5th Annual Conference of China Asset Securitization Forum” organized by the Asset Securitization Forum (the “Forum”), CITIC Securities, China Merchants Securities and other institutions, and co-organized by ZhongYin Law Firm, Bank of Beijing and other entities was solemnly held in Beijing on May 6-8, 2019. As the most influential event in China's asset securitization industry, the event was strongly supported by well-known institutions such as China Merchants Bank, China Minsheng Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, and Industrial Bank. Nearly 2,000 domestic and overseas asset securitization experts and businessman representatives from banks, law firms, securities companies and financial enterprises attended the event.

This exchange between head and branch offices is a new attempt to advance the integration of head and branch offices and promote the exchange and cooperation between head and branch offices. The participants spoke freely, discussed many issues such as the status quo of the practice area of asset securitization, how to strengthen the construction of head and branch offices’ system for internal audit on practice in the area of asset securitization, and how to improve basic templates for practice, and made a number of rational suggestions and comments.

During the event, the “5th Annual Awards of China Asset Securitization Forum” were solemnly announced and a grand award ceremony was held in Beijing on the evening of May 7, 2019. The issuance of “SWHY - CCFB Phase I Account Receivables Asset-backed Security Special Plan” undertaken by the team led by our management committee member and senior partner Dong Wan stood out among many deals and won the award “Excellent Deal of the Year”.

At the event, upon evaluation on main dimensions such as “structure and innovation”, “commercial interests”, “completeness of disclosed information about transaction and survival”, “social and economic significance, and contribution to industry development”, influential deals in China’s asset securitization & structured finance in 2018 were commended, and institutions making important contributions to industry innovation and development were also commended.

Responsibility and Development

In order to promote the healthy development of the Forum and encourage innovation, the Executive Committee and the Secretariat of the Forum have recently organized the election of the first members of the council and the chairmen or joint chairmen of various professional committees under the Forum in 2019. Our Management Committee Member and Senior Partner Dong Wan was elected as a member of the council of and a joint chairwoman of the Securitization-related Legal Issue Research Committee under the Forum.
