On June 9, 2023, Thailand's anti-dumping investigation authority issued a final decision on the anti-dumping investigation into aluminum extrusions originating in China. Mr. Zheng JIA, Senior Partner and Director in the International Trade and Maritime group of Zhong Yin Law Firm, represented Jiangsu Asia-Pacific Light Alloy Technology Co., Ltd. in the case and aided the client in obtaining the lowest national duty rate of -15.94% in the final decision, which can be considered a zero-rate (as opposed to other Chinese exporters who were imposed with countervailing rates ranging from -5.74% to 32.69%). In the final decision, Thailand's anti-dumping investigation authority determined that the export of Chinese aluminum extrusions did not cause damage to the Thailand's domestic industry and thus, no anti-dumping duty was imposed. This marks the third consecutive time that Zhong Yin Trade Remedy group has helped clients obtain a positive result of zero-rate, which is the most favorable outcome, in Thailand's anti-dumping cases against China. On December 3, 2021, the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand issued a notice to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on aluminum extrusions from China.
