CPPCC Vice Chairman Ma Biao and relevant Delegation Visit ZLF Law Office for Inspection

On the morning of November 21, 2019, Ma Biao, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), accompanied by leaders such as Zhu Xiaodan, former Governor of Guangdong Province, Standing Committee Member of the CPPCC, and Director of the Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese, visited ZLF Law Office (referred to as “ZLF”) for inspection. In the afternoon, Vice Chairman Ma presided over a symposium on promoting in-depth cooperation between Macau and Hengqin. Director Chen Yi of ZLF attended the symposium and made a speech on related topics.
ZLF Law Office (“ZLF”), a joint venture of ZhongYin Law Firm and Macao-based Rato, Ling, Lei & Cortés and Hong Kong-based FONGS Lawyers, is the first Mainland-Hong Kong-Macau joint venture law firm in China. Its establishment aims at implement the requirements of the CEPA Supplement Agreementand is an important initiative to further promote the liberalization of service trade in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and to make closer the cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macau lawyers, and has created a mode of cross-regional and cross-jurisdictional cooperation on legal service between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao, whereby the staff in one office can provide enterprises with one-stop legal services involving three jurisdictions and multi languages. Since its establishment, it has achieved good demonstration effects and influence, and has received widespread attention from the higher authority and the lawyer profession.
In the macro context of China’s current Belt and Road Initiative and strategy of building the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, ZhongYin will continue to strengthen its business layout in South China, provide support to ZLF, and respond to national policies with practical actions, in order to promote the development of lawyer profession and provide clients with higher quality and more efficient legal services.
