A ZhongYin Attorney Is Engaged and Appointed by CIETAC Mediation Center as A Mediator

On May 24, 2019, the Mediation Center of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission completed the engagement and appointment of mediators according to the Mediation Rules of the Mediation Center of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. Guo Lijun, a partner of ZhongYin Law Firm, was engaged and appointed as one of the first batch of mediators of the mediation center, with a term of engagement starting from June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2023.

It is reported that the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (“CIETAC”) held an unveiling ceremony for the mediation center at CIETAC headquarters in Beijing on May 18, 2018. In establishing the mediation center, CIETAC can, by relying on its rich experience and resources in dispute resolution, and based on its major service of arbitration, and by actively cooperating with the courts, vigorously promote the establishment of mediation-arbitration and mediation-litigation connection mechanisms, to realize “one-stop” service for commercial dispute resolution and play a greater role in solving social conflicts, promoting social harmony, and creating a modernized business environment governed by law. The establishment of the mediation center is a strategic initiative for CIETAC to improve its diversified dispute resolution services and an important step for CIETAC to build itself as a world-class dispute resolution institution.
