On November 15, 2019, the Supervisory Committee of ZhongYin (Beijing) Law Firm and the Supervisory Committee of ZhongYin (Chongqing) Law Firm held the first exchange meeting in Chongqing. Supervisory Committee Chairman and Senior Partner Zheng Wei, Supervisory Committee Members and Senior Partners Sun Jian and Zhang Xiaojun, Supervisory Committee Members and Partner Hou Jiyan and Jin Yong of ZhongYin (Beijing), as well as Supervisory Committee Chairman Wang Shiyun and Supervisory Committee Member Mou Xi of ZhongYin (Chongqing) attended the meeting.

Zheng Wei first introduced the job responsibilities and formation mechanism of the supervisory committee of the head office, and stated that the supervisory committee should exercise its supervisory power not only without affecting the development of the firm but also achieving the purpose of supervision; this meeting is a rare opportunity for the parties to exchange the experience in operating the supervisory committee, and the head and branch offices must seize market opportunities, develop in a coordinated way, and work together.

Wang Shiyun shared the outstanding achievements of ZhongYin (Chongqing) since its establishment and expounded the generation of the supervisory committee of ZhongYin (Chongqing). Mou Xi focused on explaining the basic principles to which the supervisory committee adheres during work. He believes that in the management of the firm, power should be delegated but kept in a cage.

The parties exchanged views on how to cooperate with the management committee and supervise related work, the operation mechanism of various departments, the positioning of the supervisory committee, and so on, reaching a consensus that the supervision should be carried out according to Confucius’ saying that “a gentleman gets along with others, without necessity to agree with each other” and that supervision and cooperation should be carried out in parallel in order to achieve good operating conditions.

At this meeting, the parties fully exchanged their practical experience in supervision, reached consensus on multiple issues, created favorable conditions for the integration and linkage between head and branch offices, and also laid a solid foundation for ZhongYin to promote branding and specialization and ensure that its attorneys practice in an orderly manner.
