Lawyer from Zhong Yin Law Firm Conducted a Duty-related Crime Prevention Seminar for Bank of Shanghai (Beijing’s Branch)

On 22nd June 2017, Ms Ai Jing from Zhong Yin Law Firm was invited to carry out a seminar on “Prevention against Duty-related Crime Committed by Bank Employees” at the Beijing branch of Bank of Shanghai. The seminar was presided over by Deputy Governor of the Bank, Mr Liu Wei, and attended by the Bank’s management from different departments, including Assistant Governor Ms Yang Xiaoyi and Chairlady of the Union Ms Zhang Chunlan, as well as over a hundred staff members.

Ms Ai Jing gave a detailed introduction on the criminal characteristics of bank employees and current judicial practice in three aspects: overview, legal application and related cases. Through analysing different cases, the seminar touched upon topics such as the possible crime scenarios, criminal offences, and their attributes and sentencing, all of which a bank employee might confront in a daily routine. It also made several recommendations on the preventions against such crimes. This seminar allowed bank employees to have a better understanding on the regulation compliance relevant to their positions. The overall atmosphere was positive with excellent feedbacks from the employees and the seminar was highly regarded by the Bank’s management.

Ms Ai Jing has previously worked in a court in Beijing and achieved a doctorate degree in law. As a visiting scholar at the United States judicial department, she has abundant legal practice experience and a solid legal foundation, and have conducted multiple crime prevention trainings for corporate clients. Since this year, Ms Ai Jing has represented Zhong Yin Law Firm to conduct criminal legal risk related seminars for various state enterprises, including AVIC Integrated Technology Research Institute and COFCO Futures Co Ltd. Such trainings help our clients to closely follow the principle of “Establishing Rule of Law in Central Enterprises” put forth by the Party Central Committee, and provide them with a comprehensive legal protection in this new trend whilst heightening Zhong Yin Law Firm’s professionalism and reputation in the criminal law sector.
