On August 5, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced the preliminary decision on India's anti-dumping investigation against China's polyethylene terephthalate (“PET”). In this case, the team led by Jia Zheng, Director of International Trade Relief Department and Senior Partner of ZhongYin Law Firm, represented Wankai New Materials Co., Ltd., and won the preliminary decision of lowest rate of 15.54 USD/ton (the rates applicable to other Chinese companies range from 60.9 USD/ton to 200.66 USD/ton). The rate applicable to Wankai in the preliminary decision is lower than 2%, which is one of the most favorable decisions won by Chinese companies in responding to India’s anti-dumping actions in recent years. On October 1, 2019, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced that the final decision on India's anti-dumping investigation against China’s PET was expected to be made by the end of 2020.
