July 14, 2020, ZhongYin (Kunming) Law Firm (“ZhongYin (Kunming)”) was formally established upon the approval of Yunnan Provincial Department of Justice and, on August 26, 2020, it was duly granted practice license.

Kunming, as the political, economic, and cultural center of Yunnan and functioning like China's window and door towards South Asia and Southeast Asia, is an excellent place for ZhongYin to base itself in Southwest China, explore South and Southeast Asia market, and deploy in Yunnan. Embracing the trend of ages and situations, ZhongYin (Kunming) emerges as the 28th branch of ZhongYin, following Sanya branch and Wuhan branch also established in 2020.

As the intersection of the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor and the China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor, Yunnan assumes an important mission in implementing China’s Belt and Road Initiative. With the establishment and formal opening of Kunming branch, ZhongYin will, based in Kunming, provide services in South Asia and Southeast Asia by giving full play to Yunnan’s geographical advantages; relying on the advantages of ZhongYin global legal service system and its professional experience, and integrating all resources of lawyers and departments of its head office and branches, it will actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative to provide legal support for Chinese enterprises to “go global”; with higher vision, stronger sense of responsibility, and more input, it will facilitate industrial development and free trade of China and ASEAN countries.
