On March 2, 2023, the Ministry of Economy of Argentina issued Announcement No. 201/2023, making a final ruling in the anti-dumping investigation against vacuum cleaners originating in China. In view of the fact that the applicants in this case did not meet the requirement “representing a domestic industry”, the investigating authority of Argentina decided to terminate the investigation and impose no anti-dumping duty. The trade remedy team led by Jia Zheng, director of International Practice Department and senior partner of ZhongYin Law Firm, represented China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, Suzhou Chunju Electric Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Midea Cleaning Appliances Co., Ltd. on “no injury” defense in this case. In this case, the ZhongYin team put forward a strong defense against the issue whether the applicants represented a domestic industry, and finally pushed the investigating authority of Argentina to terminate the investigation, obtaining the best result of full victory. On March 8, 2022, the Ministry of Economy of Argentina issued Announcement No. 149/2022 to initiate an anti-dumping investigation against vacuum cleaners originating in China.
